Lithuanians in Iceland

Lithuanians are second largest immigrant group in Iceland, however not much researched one. The report presented by Karl Sigurðsson is important attempt to fill this gap.

Based on the survey collected among Lithuanians living in Iceland this report provides basic information about this immigration group. Altogether 270 individuals answered the questions, what makes about 18% of the total Lithuanian population in the age above 18 years old residing in Iceland. The report focuses on the situation on the labour market, formal education and utilization of skills. The research is part of Karl’s master project and was financed by The Development Fund for Immigrant Issues.
